Morning Maker Show

Hey there friends,

It's been a while. We've been busy building, and we hope you have been too. In this newsletter we hope to inspire you to keep the momentum going in 2025.

We always start strong in January and hit a wall just around this time. So let's push through it together and turn it up to 11.

New Year, New YouTube

If we had one piece of advice for 2025, it would be this: Experiment with new ways to market your product—and, most importantly, yourself as a maker.

Indies have this ability to quickly adapt and jump on the latest tech or trend. This year, we believe YouTube is the biggest opportunity. Have you considered trying it?

It can be a tough nut to crack, but imagine being able to carry over an audience to each product you build, rock SEO results and conquer a brand new target group.

That's why we're doubling down on YouTube in 2025! We'll focus on shorter videos while improving quality over quantity.

New Year, New Launch 🚀

In case you missed it, Sandra is now building Chatbase with Yasser —and of course, she kicked things off with a Product Hunt launch 😃. So on brand.

It's one piece on the road to getting Chatbase to $1M MRR (now at over $400k). Does it still make sense to launch on Product Hunt in 2025?

We definitely think so, especially if you have an AI product (or in general, an 'on-trend' product). But don't sleep on the new players, such as Uneed.

Sandra managed to get #2 Product of the day with 900+ upvotes and 300+ comments! (more stats on hunted.space)

We hope this inspires you to make a launch yourself. And here's why you should schedule it today!

Setting a deadline is the best secret hack to shipping

With over 10 products built between us, we arrived at this simple conclusion: "With infinite time come infinite features customers didn't ask for".

This is twofold. First, a deadline will force you to cut the product to what is absolutely necessary. It is an exercise to focus on one target group and one happy path, and remove everything else.

As a result, launch day will be jam-packed with users asking you to add things instead of you guessing what they want. So set a deadline, launch and talk to your users.
